Professor of Sociology at the Complutense University of Madrid and queer feminist activist. Her research revolves around the feminist and LGTBI-queer movements, critical epistemologies in education and non-cis-heterosexual kinship. She is the author of Desire and Resistance. Thirty years of lesbian mobilization in the Spanish State, 1977-2007 (Egales, 2008, republished in 2021) and co-editor of Maternidades cuir (Egales, 2020) and Queer Epistemologies in Education: Luso-Hispanic Dialogues and Shared Horizons (Palgrave, 2020) , among other publications.
