Javier Echeverría Born in Pamplona in 1948. It's lic. in Philosophy (1970) and Mathematics (1970) and Dr. of Philosophy (1975) by the Universidad Complutense de Madrid. Docteur d'Etats Lettres et Sciences Humaines at the Université Paris I (Panthéon-Sorbonne-1980). It was and is a professor at several universities both in Spain and the rest of Europe. Since 1996, research professor of "Science, Technology and Society" at the Institute of Philosophy of the Higher Council for Scientific Research (CSIC, Madrid). He chaired the Society of Logic, Methodology and Philosophy of Science in Spain, was vice president of the Spanish Society of History of Science and member of the Board of Directors of the Spanish Foundation for Science and Technology. Is a member of the International Academy of the Philosophy of Science
