Josep M. Colomer is a professor of Political Science at Georgetown University. He has also been a professor at the Higher Council for Scientific Research and at the Autonomous Universities of Barcelona and Pompeu Fabra, as well as at CIDE and FLACSO in Mexico. He is a founding member of the Spanish Association of Political Science, member by election of the European Academy, and lifetime member of the American Association of Political Science and the Mexican Association of Political Sciences, which have awarded several of his works. He is the author or compiler of more than thirty books, published in six languages.
