Joseph V. Mascelli, an acclaimed cinematographer, shot feature fiction films, documentaries, educational films, television commercials, and television series. He wrote extensively, in magazines on photography and cinema, about camerawork; he was editor of the American Cinematographer Manual, and taught cinematography at Loyola University in Los Angeles.
