He is Professor of Philosophy at the University of Oviedo. He has translated works of Plato, Aristotle, Anselm, Aquinas, Caramuel, Leibniz and Peano. His publications include: Formal Logic (1982), Projects universal language designed by Spanish (1987), History of logic (1989), Juan Caramuel: life and work (1989), Epistemology of fuzzy systems (1991), Knowledge and truth (1993), the Spanish projects of universal language (2000), Compendium of epistemology (editor, along with James Muñoz) (Trotta, 2000) and Theory of the definition of Leibniz (2015). Currently he is working on the research of theory conocimientoy theory of language.
