LEWIS HYDE (Boston, Massachusetts, 1945) is a poet, essayist, translator, and cultural critic.
He has taught Creative Writing classes at Harvard University and Kenyon College. He has been honored by the National Endowment for the Arts and the National Endowment for the Humanities of the United States, and by the MacArthur, Lannnan and Guggenheim foundations. He currently lives in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
