Philippe Lacoue-Labarthe

Born in 1940, professor at the University Marc Bloch in Strasbourg, is one of the leading representatives of contemporary French thought. His work, which part of the reflection on the literature undertaken by German Romanticism, is a radical philosophical confrontation with the same philosophy and, in particular, with a mixture of admiration and repulsion, with Martin Heidegger. Reading his work has always accompanied by his work as a translator, not only Heidegger but Celan, Nietzsche, Hölderlin and Benjamin. Among his works which cross the road from the question of imitation to the deconstruction of the tragic vision of history are counted, translated into Castilian, Poetry as Experience (2006), The fiction of the political (2002) and The Nazi myth (2002) (with Jean-Luc Nancy).
