We had the immense fortune that Rafael Azcona was born, in 1926, in a town called Logroño, and since then he has not stopped giving us joys (if we ignore his death in Madrid in 2008). He is recognized as one of the most brilliant contemporary European writers. In his prolific professional career he made around eighty screenplays, among them those of films like El pisito, El pramito, El verdugo, La prima Angelica, The anchorite, Belle Époque ... And even so, it is increasingly difficult to overlook his literary contribution, in view of novels such as The dead are not touched, baby, Europeans or The delusions, among others.
