Raúl Cortés (Morón de la Frontera, 1979) is a playwright and director of the Andalusian company Trasto Teatro. He has published Los Satisfechos (2012) and Trilogy of Discouragement (2010), which includes the works Contadoras de chickpea (2nd edition), No amanece en Genova and No es la lluvia, es el viento; He is also the author of the works Contadoras de garbanzos (2007), El Capitán Flick (2006) and Tagoror (2004); and also of the writings Against impotence: sign of our times (2012), Manifesto of the Theater of Deception (2010) and The theater that we did when it seemed impossible (2005). He has received several national and international awards in recognition of his work.
