Escolar y Mayo Editores was born in 2007 with the clear and determined will to become a benchmark university publishing house for the Spanish-speaking public. In this sense, from its first steps it has tried to make its own the ancient and venerable opinion of Aristotle, recognizing - perhaps a bit against the current - that the University is precisely one of the spaces where knowledge crystallizes and institutionalizes, but also where they progress and evolve. With this vocation, Escolar y Mayo collaborates with research groups and departments of different Spanish and Latin American universities, while making its own editorial bets, always prompted by the intention of enriching the scientific, academic and literary debate.
Ten years later, in 2017, Escolar y Mayo Editores begins a new stage and becomes Guillermo Escolar | Editor, but still has its essence.
Philosophy, the human and social sciences and literature, rigorously annotated and commented, nurture the almost 150 titles that make up Guillermo Escolar's catalog today | Editor. With a rate of publications that reaches 30 titles per year, the bet for the future is that of its beginnings, only expanded, day by day, book by book, more knowledge fields.
