The Complete Tales of Carpentier
This edition collects texts from different periods and varied origins that have never, until today, been brought together in a single volume. In addition to "The fugitives", "Office of darkness" and War of time, include stories that belong to the literary beginnings of Alejo Carpentier. Three other stories, "El cruzado", "La mano belluda" and "El milagro", see the light for the first time and are transcendental to have a more concrete idea of the first literary steps of the writer. In addition to these novelties, the translation that Rafael Rodríguez Beltrán made of another story that appeared in a lost suitcase and that for a time was thought to be simply another version of "History of moons" is included.
