The title of this book, What is it about?, is a question that calls into question the psychoanalytic clinical practice and, therefore, why and how an analysis treatment “cures”. The reason for addressing this topic, explains the author, is based on the fact that the issue is still valid, despite the large number of conceptual developments that come from the different schools of psychoanalysis.

For this reason, in the subtitle, he clearly indicates his intention: he intends to give us a possible answer. Thus, in the first part, he exposes a graphic sequence in which he offers a panoramic vision of psychic devices, just as the authors themselves have modeled them. It is worth noting that, in an inaugural way for a psychoanalytic text, each graph includes a QR code at the end. The reader can scan the code that automatically sends him to a YouTube video, where the images of the sequence are shown verbally explained by the author. In the second part, he addresses specific clinical issues: the way in which the material appears in the individual session, exemplifications of dreams, two patient cases, Leandro and Hernán, to finally underline the relationship between processing in action and psychic change. Then he dedicated himself to the couples clinic through two examples: Estela and Juan, and Jazmín and Roberto. Finally, in chapter VI, the author gives a possible answer to the question in which he exposes what "curing" with psychoanalysis is about.
