One of the purposes that motivated the author of this research was to show that the economic and social policy of the State arising from the Revolution had its origins in the measures taken during the period 1913-1920 and particularly since December 1914.
Since the so-called revisionist current of the Mexican Revolution, much has been debated whether it simply continues the Porfirian system or has implied substantial changes in the structure of Mexican society and the Mexican economy. The hypothesis of mere continuity would imply as a corollary that the Revolution was unnecessary to attain the current economic and social qualities and quantities, that is, it only involved a waste of resources of all kinds.
