Eduardo Fleury Mortimer has been a research professor at the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG), in Brazil since 1983. He is a level 1B researcher at the National Council for Scientific and Technological Development (CNPq for its acronym in Portuguese). He is an advisor to the Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education (CAPES) and the São Paulo State Research Support Foundation (FAPESP). He is a postgraduate professor of the subjects Language and cognition in the classroom and Education and Knowledge.
