
Audomaro Hidalgo (Villahermosa, 1983) is a poet, essayist, and translator. He has published the poetry collections El fuego de la noche (The Fire of the Night), Pequeña historia de la democracia (A Little History of Destruction), Sajadura (Slashing), and Los designios de la intemperie (The Designs of the Weather). The latter two were translated into French and published in France; they later appeared in Mexico. His book of essays, El río que no cesa (The River That Does Not Cease), will be published in 2025. As a translator, he is the author of the anthology El gallo y la serpiente (The Rooster and the Serpent. Current French Poetry. 1967-1990) (Círculo de poesía). He has translated Medea (Cuadrivio editions) by Pascal Quignard; Pequeño elogio de la poesía (A Little Praise of Poetry) by Jean Pierre Siméon; and Apocalypse for Our Time by Yves Ouallet; his books are forthcoming.
