Over thirteen years, from 1927 until his death in 1940, Walter Benjamin worked in the capital work that would be the book on Paris, called "Arcades Project", a philosophy of history of the nineteenth century. Many of the older texts he wrote during the last ten years of his life-the essay on the work of art, the works devoted to Baudelaire and theses "On the Concept of History" - emerged from the "Passages". All that remains of this huge work-thousands of notes and fragments, was first published in the fifth volume of the "Complete Works" of Surhkamp, which is presented here in full for the first time in Castilian. Throughout its pages, the reader can see how the "Arcades Project" stands as one of the most stunning pieces of German literature, comparable to the "Philosophische Lehrjahre" by Friedrich Schlegel, and "The will of power "of Nietzsche.
