Robert Desnos

Robert Desnos

He was born with the century and died in 1945 in the Theresienstadt concentration camp. He was one of the most important poets of the Surrealist movement, a Breton friend for a time and considered by him as one of the group's "prophets". Parallel to his poetic work -or, perhaps, as the most secret part of it-, Desnos developed an important radio career, worked in an advertising agency inventing slogans that would make listeners dream, created some sketches for the Fantomas series and He worked assiduously as a journalist.
