The trail is a beautiful novel about the search. Declan, a professor of literature at a university in the United States, traces the footprints of Ambrose Bierce - about whom he is writing a book - whose last steps were apparently given in Mexico at the time of the Revolution. With his more than seventy years on his back and attracted by the social conflict and his icons, the legendary Pancho Villa among them, the American writer decided to cross the Rio Grande to insert himself in wilderness and naturally inhospitable places, in which everything indicates that he lost life, in many ways and in different places.
