It is common to hear that the difference of the sexes is not a philosophical object. Such a statement positions philosophical knowledge and the question of the sexed body on parallel paths: understanding that knowledge as reflective and characterizing that question as arbitrary. What relationship, then, if there is one, could be established between sexual difference and philosophy? We could, without a doubt, answer that question by denying any relationship.
