Fragments of a Future Book is one of José Ángel Valente's greatest books and one of the capital pieces of contemporary poetry. Posthumously awarded the National Poetry Prize by the Spanish Ministry of Culture, this collection of poems is both a kind of lyrical testament and the culmination of a poetic itinerary. It brings together more than ninety poems and some short prose in which José Ángel Valente worked until his last days, whose marrow is composed of the feeling of end and nostalgia for life.
