Klein is also host of the Ezra Klein Show, co-host of the podcast Weeds, and executive producer of Vox's Netflix show, In a Nutshell. He was previously a columnist and editor for the Washington Post, a policy analyst on MSNBC and a Bloomberg contributor. He has written for the New Yorker and the New York Review of Books, and has appeared on many television shows such as Face the Nation, The Daily Show, and PBS NewsHour. He rose to fame as a blogger, for his in-depth analysis of political issues. At The Washington Post, Klein ran Wonkblog, a blog where he featured his writings and those of other reporters on national politics. He was named blogger of the year by The Week magazine and the Sidney Hillman Foundation in 2010. In 2011, GQ named him one of the fifty most powerful people in Washington, and his page was named one of the twenty-five best financial blogs by Time magazine. In 2013 he won the Online News Association Award for Best Online Commentary. She also won the Carey McWilliams Award from the American Political Science Association. In 2020 he announced that he would leave Vox to join The New York Times as a columnist and podcast host.
