Kairós was founded in 1965 by Salvador Pániker, philosopher and industrial engineer, of Indo-Spanish origin. Since its inception, the central idea of ​​the editorial was to create a "forum" for the dialogue between science and spirituality, between East and West, between reason and intuition, a bridge, in short, between different sensibilities and ways of understanding the world. 50 years later, we remain faithful to these principles, always seeking the seriousness and depth that the issues we address deserve and avoiding as far as possible falling into the extremes of academicism or superficialism. This is partly possible because we have managed to maintain an independence both of the large publishing groups and of the dominant ideologies and fashions. With more than 800 titles published, Kairos has become a reference publisher for the general public interested in the traditions of the East, in deep psychology, in the dialogue between science and mysticism or in the essay in general. In the end, the criteria of rigor and depth that we have always held have given us great prestige in these fields. Many of the readers of Kairós have evolved in parallel to the publishing company's trajectory, so the harmony and complicity between the public and the editorial has always been very pronounced. Although nowadays it sounds strange, we still belong to that category of publishers that publish what we like and stimulates us.
